It is self-murder. Murder is the taking of an innocent life. Even with a guilty person, a committer of some heinous crime, the effort is necessary to give them the maximum opportunity to repent. All of this is predicated upon a culture and civilization that believes that this life is merely a prelude to another and that the character and actions of one's life is an important determinant for the state of the next. Choose to believe or not.

Ya but what about if life is not worth living? What if every day is bleak and miserable? What if someone is profoundly unhappy? And being alive is the cause?

Yes I know they can 'work it out'. But what if they cannot?

Their life - their choice.

I disagree. Not their life. Not their choice. Life, even difficult life, is the cure while it lasts.
