I think the key difference between the bioengineered spike protein and that found in the vaccine is the replacement of the naturally occurring uridine in the viral spike RNA sequence with "pseudouridine," which EVADES the immune system, as it was designed to do. That's my suspicion, but we would need to have knowledgeable molecular biologists / virologists weigh in on this one.
