I recently watched to a video comparing keto to low fat for control of type 2 diabetes. Turns out they both work for controlling type 2 diabetes. The low fat has to be very low, like 10 percent of calories. The long term difference is interesting though: After being on the low fat diet for several months, you can start eating more fat and the type 2 diabetes will continue to be controlled. This is not true for keto. If you are on keto for months and then go off it, the type 2 diabetes comes right back. So the low fat diet actually heals the body whereas the keto diet just manages the symptoms of a sick body.
