The department of education is a ravening beast. I had to fight the beast 20 years ago to keep it from consuming my children. It was a pussycat 20 years ago compared to what it is now.

I think this is going to have a huge ripple effect - in a very good way!
It was the schools that were enforcing the vaccines!! You couldn't get into a school without showing your child's "private" medical history. No more federally funded schools MEANS no more federally enforcing of vaccines. If you can fight it at the school board level, it's much easier.
Oh how I wish I could be a fly on the wall at Randi Weingarten's home right now. She has lost all her power and her grift. I hope they do away with the unions next for education.
2SG - I have ALWAYS hated the IRS. My dad was a CPA for 50 years. I don't know how he did it. I hate doing taxes. I hate that my husband and I, who are over a decade away from eligibility for Medicare, pay more for Medicare than people who have the medical coverage now.
I have to remind myself that Trump only took office 2 months ago, even though he is moving at the speed of light. I want all the rot out NOW.
I know I sound bitter, but I’m not. Just determined to help build an environment that helps children thrive. My grand parents, mother and brother were teachers. My mother couldn’t believe me when I described the way schools had become oppressive, (including medically intrusive)and she started to cry. I know teachers had difficulty with TV-addled children, but the modern system of huge schools was counterproductive.
My son taught himself math, computer, and logic after H.S. Now a professional.
I really think the worse part of public schools was removing more and more of the parents involvement. Adderall and other drugs were forced on the child. The teachers literally became drug pushers. I told the principal it would be easier to just give the teachers Valium.
Now they are pushing sexual changes
Oh well, sorry for the long diatribe.
I hope the new government is helps us grow thriving children like a beautiful garden!
