I started quercetin accidentally in late 2010. (I was given a free bottle of antioxidants, and didn’t realize it was effective until I ran out!) It completely stopped my roller coaster of allergies leading to upper respiratory infections 5 times a year. I was sold and took it religiously. Fast forward to Covid- I did get Covid many times, especially Omicron. Had symptoms, lost hair, but never tested positive even when my partner, with same symptoms, tested positive. I’ve always suspected that my regular use of quercetin was protective in some way, and did learn that it was a zinc ionophore.
