I think you probably meant "causing MORE brain damage" - the programming has already caused a major amount of brain damage in humanity, the hours of screen time staring at the slab of cellphone, drains away the humanity, the intelligence, the curiousity. The sheep are led around by their apps and the surveillance device they pay for monthly.
