One of my brother's is a microbiologist and as he always says cancer charities aren't for finding a cure for cancer they are for getting "researchers" a brand new very expensive car on the drive of their very expensive homes every year. It is a scam and I never support them. Daily exercise can cut your chances of getting cancer by half and that is what we should all be concentrating on. It would be interesting to see the realtive cancer rates between cat owners and dog owners that walk their dogs for a few miles every day.
