I'm thinking of the story of the tiger hunter who was the only one able to afford a rifle. So he made handsome living by shooting tigers that threatened villages, because everyone knew you could only kill a tiger with a rifle. Until one day the rifle jammed and as the tiger pounced the hunter drew his sword and the tiger fell upon it prior to landing on the hunter. The hunter then proceeded to shoot the tiger where the sword pierced the throat. It was in his long term interest to maintain the belief that you could only kill a tiger with a rifle. Everyone acts in their own self-interests. There are no exceptions.

And so a US intelligence/law enforcement agency, I don't know which one, realized that it was in their long term best interest to have Trump killed to keep their budget intact. When that failed, they realized it was in their best interest to promulgate conspiracy theories so they could present themselves as the protectors from these dark, hidden forces (as well as the investigators of same). After all, for example, in a world of global peace and coexistence, you wouldn't need a CIA.

But I don't have the time to sift though all the information - real, false, speculative - to figure out what is the real story. So my theory is about as invalid as many others out there. But at least it is based on one fact - action is based on self-interest. (No, it's not an assumption - it is a fact.)

I'm still thinking there will be another attempt, probably in late August after it is too late to change any ballots without cancelling the election. I will also guess that this will be a massive bomb blast that can be blamed on "Ukraine".

Or an aviation accident? Boeing have been having such a run of bad luck recently, haven't they?
