74 RUNNERS RUSHED TO HOSPITAL IN ONE RACE????? WHEN WILL NPR TELL ME ABOUT THIS?

Nothing’s real unless it’s on NPR while I sip my Starbucks out of a proud supporter mug in my Sprinter van.

Ah, I’ll add ‘vaccident’ to my updated vocabulary list, along with Deathshot, clot shot VAIDs and SADS.

What still am I missing?

Mass Formation Psychosis, Cloward-Piven, Minsky Moment, Oh, and "died suddenly".

I looked it up. 82 admitted to the hospital, 300 treated at first aid tent, 2 in icu, 2 passed away. One article cites one person w cardiac event. Everything else cited as "dehydration" although the ICU patients are "off the ventilator". 19 still in hospital

I'm always perplexed when I see an author whose first language is presumably English, when he or she botches a basic headline that I could have written in first grade. Is there an article below this story? I shudder to think what the rest of it looks like.

At least this substack did not commit such a typo.

Which is a small part of why I give you so much love. LOL It's refreshing to find people who know how to think critically AND write well.

Wonder no more... (In British accent)... Through the modern miracle of text scan on iPhone photos, I have conjured together an article for thee in a matter of 2 minutes. https://waynedupree.com/2022/08/the-comrade-marathon-deaths/

To be fair (although it's not an excuse for a newspaper headline) that's a frequent autocorrect that should be called autotypo. I have learned to watch carefully whenever I type "its" (possessive) to be sure that it doesn't get changed to "it's" (contraction). And it happens as well with plurals that autocorrect for some inexplicable reason deems should be possessives. And I still miss it often enough to be embarrassed.

Also, the person who writes the story does not also write the headline (which does not excuse the carelessness, of course).

Apparently they all took cold showers before the race to cool there bodies down and this lead to off the wall heartbeats!

Please don’t take dangerous cool showers and stay safe!

Can someone provide a link for this please? My brainwashed friend doesn’t believe this. I can’t convince them with this article.

Wow! Here's another somewhat longer article. It seems the deaths are up to three now. With at least two of the 74 hospitalized in intensive care. It will be interesting to see if this causes even a few people to scratch their heads and ponder the jabs as a possible explanation. Nah! Surely it was climate change. https://sundayworld.co.za/athletics/tragedy-strikes-again-as-another-comrades-runner-dies/

With a quick search via Startpage, I found this (among other articles):

https://www.msn.com/en-za/sports/other/comrades-marathon-concern-over-abnormal-deaths/ar-AA11gv95?ocid=Huawei&appid=hwbrowser&ctype=news

One would hope that your friends will accept something from MSN, but sadly, my experience is that for those who want to refuse to hear or see, nothing is legitimate enough.

I think it would be best if all future sporting events are held within hospital grounds. Perhaps repurpose the car park for ball games, running event can be laps around the A&E department.

Maybe all runners should be required to carry a defibrillator in the future. It will doubtless slow them down and make running an expensive sport, but just think of the profits for the manufacturers, which is really what's important.

2 dead out of 13,000 participants. Possibly not unheard of in ultras but sadly likely to be the norm these days.

Expand full comment

Yes this looks bad -- but this is an 89km marathon for morbidly obese people.... you need to be at least 50kg overweight + smoke heavily or you don't get invited.

Within the ultra marathon world this race is known as The Big Cull... the organizers were disappointed with only 2 deaths.

Pfizer's new drug (ClotClear) should be out soon and can help with these nasty bio-structures "I mean clots" that are "maybe causing" some of this. I gets your body to make and then release millions of clot busting buzz saws into your veins and arteries. Brain explosion is a know side effect but it should be fairly rare.

I bet... you know vaccinated people are thinking... shit... I may have these things growing in me and I might not wake up tomorrow! I think they are screwed no matter what they do. I saw a report (not sure if it true) that as many as 60% of the vaccinated are growing these bio-structures in all their veins. If that is true... OMG there is almost no hope for any of them. Between filling up their veins with clot structures and the dozens of other ways the injection can kill them, it is just a matter of time before they all expire.
