Until some monied interest is incentivized to weaken the financial position and thereby influence of Big Pharma, they'll probably reign like Big Tobacco. Strangely, the nicotine in tobacco is an addictive drug, and a source of pleasure, or was, for a lot of people, and for some, it had other mental health benefits. And yet, it was crushed. What happened? I guess there was more money to be made by destroying Big Tobacco. It certainly wasn't about health. People care first and foremost about money, which accrues with power. So what interests will turn the tables on Big Pharma? Is it's alignment with "healthcare" it's ace in the hole?
