everytime I read an article the more depressed I get. I Keep thinking of 2 things: First, Wallace Stegner's Pulitzer Prizer novel Angle of Repose and the mining town, where it was a "company town." You worked for the mining company. You paid rent to the company. You could only buy things at the company store and the dire consequences of one family that happened to bring in something from outside. The second is a law signed by on of the Bush presidents, that alarmed me, but knew the government could not possibly enforce at that time. Now I see it as a set up for all that is happening around us.
