Although our MSM seems intent on painting Putin as an insane, corrupt warmonger (remember Saddam Hussein?), who does everything to advance his own personal wealth and that of his "cronies! iMHO, nothing can be further from the truth. After the dissolution of the USSR, the vacuum of the end of state control in the various Soviet republics was filled by corrupt politicians and organized crime leaders who became billionaire oligarchs victimizing the common people and destroying their respective economies, while infrastructures disintegrated. After several failed Russian leaders, Putin came in and took an iron grip on the country, confiscating the ill-gotten wealth of many of the oligarchs, and doing much to service Russian infrastructure and the economy. While some might say that in doing so he enriched himself, I say this may have been necessary to solidify his political clout so that he could continue with his program. Either way you look at it, he's not going anywhere, and he seems to be motivated not by greed, but by his love of Russia! Again, our slanted MSM would have you believe that his motives are imperialistic, I see motives such as restoring the water supply canal to Crimea, that Ukraine blocked since 2015, protecting ethic Russians on the East side of Ukraine (and the Crimea) and (what brought it to a head) the increasingly probable entry of Ukraine into NATO, an organization with the only raison d'etre as being a military alliance to counter Russia and its allies!

From this speech, I wonder if there is still an association with WEF. HE certainly is smart. And he of course, cites the belonging to one country once. But what do the people in Ukraine think. Do they want to rejoin the old motherland? There is plenty of space in Russia, they could also move.
