At the time where you couldn't get a doctor to prescribe IVM or even if you did your pharmacist wouldn't fill it, (Probably under orders from Pfizer) . When people were literally begging to get IVM and dying because they were being refused it, you could walk to the pet aisle of the local grocery store and buy a box of petmectin, sorry yes it's pet meds, but it's still IVM, and if that's all you could source, well...

Ivermectin is a compound, so long as it's proper pet meds it'll be fine.
