I tried having a conversation with a vaxxed friend of mine in his late 60s about this. Most of the people I know are around that age group, and almost all of them have a similar mindset.

Tried telling aforementioned friend that the government cannot be trusted, lies and wants you dead. He was silent for a moment and then basically said: "I don't want to live in a world like that; I don't want to be paranoid and afraid." End of conversation. For his mental health, he cannot bring himself to believe that this is happening.

Rewind to a few years ago. Sister in law would not take the CV injection; we think it's because her church told her not to. Then she gets CV, goes to her doctor and takes Paxlovid. And gets sick.. In fact, by the time she took Paxlovid, the problems were well known. She didn't even bother researching it. She still trusts doctors and the system. Unless her church tells her it's a bad idea, she'll go along.

I think most people are in the two categories. "I want to trust the government." "I want to trust my doctor."

Let's rewind back to WWII... how many people who got into the train cars trusted the government?

The goal of Satan inspired, Dumb-Down "Education" is to make mindless, critical thinking free robots & Cogs, to support the industrial complex, as award winning educator, John Gatto's book of the same name! I.e. a sad story older than Adam & Eve's "education" in the Garden of Eden! I.e. The Serpent lies & people die, & go to Hell! A Satan wins, you lose scam!

I’m 60…it’s the older people that SHOULD know better! I don’t get it!

Many people are brainwashed by their media to be afraid. It's as simple as that. My husband and I only do streaming and never really watch the news, so we were not exposed to the fear pr0n.

I went to some protests when the vax mandates came out here. Plenty of conspiracy style slogans on placards, but a real mix of people, there was no one type or age.

Are you sure they’re “conspiracy” slogans?

I didn't say conspiracy "theory", plenty seem to be close enough to fact.

Taking account of reality doesn't mean being paranoid and afraid. Government, med/pharma complex, education, military, big business, law enforcement, religion are made up of people. People with the capacity to have all the inherent flaws, greed, arrogance, stupidity, malevolence, laziness etc. That doesn't even account for the psychopaths/narcissists, that we know make up 5% of the population who are attracted to positions of power over people.

Life experience should teach not to trust even if one is historically ignorant. I can understand being young and trusting because I was. Later I learned not to be that way.

You do have to go through a dark phase when admitting the truth of it all, that it's all one big lie with hidden motives. I can see why it's much easier for people to pretend that it's all hunky-dory, the government tried their best in the face of a deadly pandemic.
