2nd Smartest points out what great majority of citizens don’t understand. Because it is a mathematical equation which is executed (I won’t say “solved”) for a result, too many believe it must be accurate. No. A model is just a creation of one or more people - not by nature. It’s not reality. Parameters are selected, some are not selected nor even known to exist (real world). Values are assumed for the parameters. This combination is what you get. Good luck. Don’t bet your life on it. A major problem is that our inane, purchased media grabs onto these projections as if they represented substance, the more so if they project cataclysmic results, e.g., pandemic deaths, climate devastation, etc. In real nature, there are infinite daily random and unforseen interactions of nature and unanticipated human caused events way beyond purview of a model. Also, by the way, why published straight line projections, e.g., 20 -50 years into future aren’t worth two cents.
