A few days later, I broke out in a bunch of mini m&m sized spots and larger ovoid patches (1-2.5in) on the right side of my front torso, the latter of which are very itchy! Dermatologist said it’s called nummular eczema and besides a small amount of a different kind on my palms in high school this came out of the blue! Husband and toddler are fine thank God but she will probably want to do a skin biopsy at the next visit which would include an injection of a numbing agent and topical or oral antibiotics afterwards because of the biopsy. Guh I dunno because I want to know what is going on (we really want to have more kids but the eczema is not a sign of health) but also don’t want any mysterious injections. You know they won’t give informed consent on the numbing agent they’ll just say this will numb the area 🙄. But since the visit I’ve gotten about a hundred more spots on my whole torso, upper thighs and arms, some on my back, and a couple spots more every few days.
After putting castor oil on them they’ve gone fairly flat and I’m considering ivermectin. Do you know if oral ivermectin needs to be daily? Is it just until results are seen? If I do also happen to have parasites I don’t want to stop too early is all, like how you need to do the full days with an antibiotic. I’m also not very “regular” and worry if I do have parasites that it wouldn’t be good to try petmectin if I’m blocked up??
And is oral or topical more effective?
I pray to have a good update soon. Currently a week into keto as well.
