It can be treated with Doxycycline because it down regulates MMP enzymes that catalylze tissue and scarring injuries to the heart. This has been known by Periodontists for decades that use Doycycline to treat gum tissue injuries.
That being said when the autoimmune system continually attacks spike producing heart cells this type of approach treats the symptoms but does not actually cure the condition so in that respect you are correct.
