It's OK Et - my wife is South African and we lived in Simons Town for 10 years 1999-2009. We had load shedding then but it's no problem - actually it's far better to be off-grid anyway. We have plenty of sun, solar, wind (plenty of that too) and local gas. I am spending £250/mth for electricity (inc. heating) in my tiny 2-bed lock-up-and-go cottage.
We only came back to UK to get my wife a British passport (SA is hopeless) and to sort my pensions/finance/family. We had planned to return to SA in 2015 (it took 5 years of unbelievable bureaucracy & £8k.) But I had started writing my book in 2013 after the Cyprus bank robbery when a client there sent me a copy of his bank statement (which I wrote about in the Introduction). He had euro 850k in his business account of March 31 2013 but only 100k on April 1st and some share certificates!

What would you like to know? Not much consequential stuff was given - lots about Elon's early days in the family and his problems with his siblings and his obsession with rockets. But as a counsellor I was able to put pieces together, but only on a superficial level. However it was enough to know that none of this dysfunctional family are what they appear to be - inline with all other families across the world.
