I was thinking about this yesterday. I have a good educational background, some in chemistry. I am not young so was a while ago. One thing that would happen in a chemical spill is that efforts would be made to collect the poisons ... carefully. And then safely dispose of them, one would take as much time as needed, being careful to not stir things up.
If the goal was to safely handle the spill, what one would NOT do .... is cause an explosion. Just would not happen.
An expert in this field of study said that it was either this of let it explode on its on and it would literally take out the town and maybe more. Doesn't look like there were ant winners here. I don't trust any of this, I believe the government is completely behind this. Destroy the farmlands, destroy the people etc.
But they exploded it/burned it anyway. I don't believe them. Back in my day this stuff was handled carefully, slowly and with purpose. At least as far as I remember. That freaking cloud, it's like folks stopped caring about doing things correctly or something.
I totally agree, this thing was burning, the undercarriage of one of the cars was on fire for at least 20 miles, I saw video of this. It was done right there near the water.
AND the EPA, FEMA, DoT (and mayor Pete) waited 3 entire weeks doing zilcho, nadda' effing thing. Let the smoke billow, let the spill keep seeping into the ground.

Just feels really off to me.
