A friend of mine, was refused medical treatment at the hospital in Peterborough... for refusing to wear a mask (which she has a medical exemption as she has suffered severe trauma year prior while being restrained and smothered during an armed altercation) all the while she was refused treatment, she was at risk of losing her eye to a severe infection. She was sent outside in winter weather to wait for medical staff that never came. Fortunately she found treatment within our community of likeminded fellows.
This world is damaged beyond repair and it looks as if Canada is leading the way.

Great quote re: anger and being immoral! In the states, I had hip replacement surgery during height of Covid/mask mania. It was “ok” that I not wear a mask in the pre-op room but had to wear one in the hallway being wheeled to the OR. TOLD the anesthetist... she can not give me versed (pre-op med) AND then mask me for the roll to the OR! Either I get the injection IN the OR (where I can once again be without a mask) OR if given ahead of time, no mask in hallway.... you can’t give a drug that deceased my airway and then block airway with a mask! Nurses were stumped on what to do (bc protecting the airway is HUGE for surgery and why anesthesia goes over that long list with patients ahead of time). As a retired nurse, “seeing the OR” doesn’t scare me! Know the docs like to do their thing without patients being able to talk but... made them suck it up! Their “mask rule” made no sense! After all, I was the one that tested negative to even be able to HAVE the surgery!

I’m sorry, I wasn’t clear. I want to clarify I was trying to let you know your forgiveness IS effective, and “good enough”...Because forgiveness and excusal aren’t the same.
Often when well-meaning but fictitious Christians harp at other Christians to forgive, they mean excusal (to pretend it hadn’t happened, or that it did, but didn’t matter). That ISN’T forgiveness.
Additionally, I haven’t figured out everything I should believe about this, but I have recently heard it argued that when Jesus said “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do”, He was referring to the Roman guards who were clueless about Judaic Law, and NOT the Pharisees who set Him up for murder. I’m still pondering that idea, and I’m careful about how to handle it, because it means so much. It sounds more or less like you and I actually see eye-to-eye in the matter. I have to agree with you. You know I was born in Germany-my parehts came here when I was abt 3-4. I can tell you that some people are just evil. My mother was.
