Great article. I’m a UNL alum, and found out last fall that they’ve been doing level 4 research in level 2 biosafety labs…guess what they created?!? I’ll give you a hint, it starts with M and ends with G. Here’s a great link if you’d like to hear for yourself:

Thank you for your message to President Carter. These types of research are highly regulated by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). UNL’s internal processes include regular communication with researchers and federal agencies. For the cases cited in the link you provided, any oversights or incompletions were corrected in partnership with the regulatory agency to ensure that their requirements were met and that the research could continue safely.
Yeah, they're doing it in Australian Level 4 labs as well, totally out in the open. No one cares, no attention. Recently a mining company "lost" a tiny chicklet-sized radioactive particle in Western Australia - they told us it "bounced off the back of a truck" and that finding it would be nearly impossible. Lo and behold they "found it" so all is ok. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/02/01/world/asia/australia-radioactive-capsule.html
Walter (Ted) Edward Carter Jr. is an American retired United States Navy vice admiral and Naval Flight Officer and current academic administrator who is the president of the University of Nebraska System.
Ronnie Green (UNL’s current Chancellor) previously worked for Pfizer, how IRONIC!!

When I inquired to UNL, this was their response:
Dear Michelle:

Respectfully,

And we are expected to believe that their controls are sufficient to contain (for example) airborne Marburg or rabies - which they are working on in Melbourne? https://vicparkpetition.substack.com/p/australias-gain-of-function-research
The other interesting Snapple fact to note,
UNL President Ted Carter’s bio:
