I do not support nor agree with Kerry on anything to do with his assertions on climate, but to be fair, and careful I looked into the assertion about Farm Confiscation. Here’s what I found.

-------------------------------------------------

The headline “John Kerry Declares War on US Farmers: Gov’t Farm Confiscations ‘Not Off The Table’” is false, coming from a source publication, “The People’s Voice” on May 17: https://archive.is/70kwA. The site claims “Delivering these remarks at the Agriculture Innovation Mission (AIM) for Climate Summit held in Washington, D.C....” . I took the irritating trouble to actually watch the video of Kerry’s entire talk at “AIM for Climate Summit”, May 10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IF8opPN16LQ

---------------------------------------------------

His piece begins at approx :21 and ends at approx :43. Not one word on or even implying anything on the subject of Farm Confiscations. He mentions an approach of “climate smart agriculture and innovation”, reducing emissions from food systems (:34) and methane (:38), but that was close as he got to anything specific. If Kerry made or implied such a statement some place else, we need a link. The small excerpt video at end of this post is an excerpt from the above May 10 AIM video, and has nothing to do with confiscation either. I don’t know why it’s dated Jujly 31.

--------------------------------

Again, I am no fan of Kerry on this subject, but felt the quote was so far out and needed verification.
