Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) was founded in 1982 by environmental activist Amory Lovins. At the first US conference of the Rockefeller-sponsored "Club of Rome" in 1969, the American branch was organized. Lovins was a founding member along with:

Robert O. Anderson (Chairman of ARCO, Chairman of Aspen Institute, CFR member)

Norman Cousins (President of World Federalist Association, CFR member)

Harold B. Cleveland (US Ambassador to NATO, CFR member)

Claiborne Pell (US Senator, CFR member)

In 1976, Lovins published an article on "energy strategy" in the CFR journal Foreign Affairs which laid the groundwork for RMI. Like the Aspen Institute and the Club of Rome, RMI is another node in the liberal-fascist CFR/UN/WEF network, promoting the world government / sustainable development / population control agenda:

"Our Mission: Transforming the global energy system to secure a clean, prosperous, zero-carbon future for all. We work with businesses, policymakers, and other organizations to identify energy system interventions that will cut greenhouse gas emissions at least 50% by 2030...to combat the 'climate crisis' " rmi.org/about/

"In 2011, RMI published a blueprint detailing a profitable path to phase out US coal, oil, and nuclear energy by 2050... In 2013, RMI then extended the project to China. Insights from the report, published in 2016, were embedded in China’s 13th Five Year Plan, an economy-wide plan that directs investment and economic priorities." rmi.org/about/history/
