Interesting how their maps showing degree of fire risk in each Province are so detailed, then suddenly the fire risk zones will follow provincial borderlines exactly.

okay. so "national historical data over the last four decades shows that 1989 was a peak year for wildfires. In that year, there were roughly 12,000 wildfires and an estimated 7.5 million hectares of area was burned" (or ~18.5 acres). we got 10 MIL acres as of now ( 1 Hect = 2.47 acres) So not surpassed as 1989. IF this is all accurate. It still raises questions.
