Equally odd was Wednesday night the air was dead still in Manitoba-0 mph. Turns out the phenomena was from Texas across most of the states into Canada. Wind turbines generated only 2% of normal average in the US. This was preceded here by a kick ass thunderstorm, entire sky was lit every single second for about 20 minutes. I did not witness even 1 ground strike, everything was strictly cloud to cloud.
