Senator Rand Paul upped the ante on Sunday while discussing the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and Trump’s chief adviser, Anthony Fauci. During a roundtable discussion with a local radio host, the senator from Kentucky argued that Fauci should be jailed for how he misled the public, which led to the shutdown of thousands of businesses across the country and learning loss in American schools.
“For his dishonesty, frankly, he should go to prison,” Paul said during a Sunday interview with radio host John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 AM. “If you lie to Congress, and you’re dishonest, and you won’t accept responsibility. For his mistake in judgment, he should just be pilloried. He should never be accepted,” reported The Hill.
He added, “History should judge him as a deficient person who made one of the worst decisions in public health history — in the entire history of the world.”
The Kentucky Republican, who believes the virus came from a lab in China, accused Fauci of directly contributing to the deaths of “somewhere between 10 and 20 million” with his decision to “fund dangerous research – gain-of-function research, where you allow viruses to be combined.”
Paul and Fauci, who led much of the U.S. response to the COVID-19 pandemic, have a fiery history, with the Kentucky Republican repeatedly accusing the infectious disease expert of lying about the origins of the virus.
Paul has been the leading critic of Fauci, particularly in his potential role of providing funding that may have led to the creation of the virus in the first place. He said that the former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases should be held culpable for research done in the Wuhan, China lab.
The New York Post recently reported that “the Government Accountability Office issued a report in June 2023 that found the National Institutes of Health (NIH) had contributed more than $1.4 million to Chinese research institutions between 2014 and 2019 despite serious biosafety concerns, including at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Fauci previously denied in testimony to Congress that the NIH had funded risky gain-of-function research at the lab in Wuhan, the area where the pandemic began in late 2019.”
In June, New Conservative Post reported, “Anthony Fauci is facing more scrutiny over the way he handled the outbreak of COVID-19 and how he appeared to work strenuously to shut down the theory that the disease that killed tens of millions worldwide was developed in a lab in China.
A newspaper in Australia is claiming to have identified patient zero, and no, it wasn’t some poor soul who decided to have a nice big bowl of bat soup after visiting a Wuhan wet market.
The Daily Telegraph reported the bombshell news. “According to new reports this week three separate Chinese government officials have all named scientist Ben Hu, who was in charge of gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, as the first human to be infected with the new disease.”
At the time, David Strom at Hot Air explained why this revelation was such a big deal.
“Again, the only thing shocking about this report is that our government officials and the MSM have worked so hard and been so successful in hiding these facts from the public. The US government has known about this for 3 years, and despite that fact, the public health establishment has kept denying its relevance.
There is no innocent explanation for the denials that emanated from our government. When virologists contacted Dr. Fauci explaining that their research suggested that COVID was engineered, Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins berated them and assigned them to write a paper denying that very fact. When they did so Fauci rewarded them with millions of dollars in research grants.
Now the authors of that paper admit that they may have gone too far–as in, they were totally wrong. Each has told the BBC that their conclusion may have been premature.”
Fauci recently raised eyebrows with his strange testimony before Congress where he suddenly could not remember speciic details when he was put under oath. The New York Post reported that Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic Chairman Brad Wenstrup, a doctor, announced he was surprised by how frequently Fauci claimed to be unable to recall decisions or circumstances during the early days of the outbreak that killed over a million Americans.
Wenstrup said, “After two days of testimony and 14 hours of questioning, many things became evident. During his interview today, Dr. Fauci claimed that the policies and mandates he promoted may unfortunately increase vaccine hesitancy for years to come. He testified that the lab leak hypothesis — which was often suppressed — was, in fact, not a conspiracy theory. Further, the social distancing recommendations forced on Americans ‘sort of just appeared’ and were likely not based on scientific data.
“Dr. Fauci’s transcribed interview revealed systemic failures in our public health system and shed light on serious procedural concerns with our public health authority. It is clear that dissenting opinions were often not considered or suppressed completely. Should a future pandemic arise, America’s response must be guided by scientific facts and conclusive data.
“While we remain frustrated with Dr. Fauci’s inability to recollect COVID-19 information that is important for our investigation, others we have spoken to do recall the facts.”
One member who sat in on the interview put it more bluntly, saying Fauci had showed an “amazing ability to either forget what happened or then to find ways to shirk any sort of responsibility for the influence that was had.”
During part of the interviews, Fauci revealed that he doesn’t always “follow the science.” According to the transcripts, Trump’s top medical adviser said he did not believe that schools shutting down during the pandemic, under his recommendation, caused any learning loss.
Fauci retired from his post in 2022 when he realized that the GOP would likely win the House and be able to compel him to testify. He currently receives the largest pension in the history of the federal government and holds a prestigious position at Georgetown University.
Dr. Mengele 2.0 was always in on the democide, starting with the AIDS “epidemic” straight to the COVID-19 “pandemic.” He is one of the most prolific serial killers in world history.
They want you dead.
Do NOT comply.
rand paul is a tool. he and all of congress both house and senate have had enough information to have Fauci and his cronies up for two years. he uses his tough guy stance and says meaningless shit like "Fauci should be in prison," to help raise money for his re-election campaign. i remember back when Paul vs Fauci would come on the tube and you'd see Paul land a few blows here and there, of course nothing happened, but right after the video aired i'll tell you what did happened, Rand Paul commercial would come on saying things donate to my cause so i can continue to fight the fight. i'm call BS
Either Tony Fauci is a world historic criminal or no one is. Putting him in jail is not nearly enough. He must be prosecuted for committing crimes against humanity. If he’s found guilty of having committed crimes against humanity, the only possible punishment for the magnitude of his crimes, his participation in the genocidal slaughter of so many people around the world is his public execution.
And to be clear, there are thousands more like him who must be prosecuted the same way for the same crime.
