"Metabiota recognized the coming coronavirus pandemic in December 2019, before the WHO. “Armed with the intelligence provided by Metabiota, Neil met with Bizzabo’s CEO, Eran Ben-Shushan, and told him that COVID-19 could be his Black Swan; it could cause a complete shutdown of in-person events.” Bizzabo changed course and is enjoying a 100+% revenue windfall over the course of lockdowns and fears of public gatherings the next two years."
How prophetic to know there would be lockdowns back in December 2019. Quite a tip$

Sure reads like profits were of more concern than public health.
For some history, I researched Metabiota back when access to public files on California's State Corporation Commission and Metabiota's websites was possible.
Metabiota was initially registered in California in February 2008 by one Andrea Mitchell and originally named "Epintel" (Epidemic Intelligence) authorizing 10,000 shares. Mitchell filed to rename the company "Global Viral Forecasting" two months later and authorized 0 shares. (The strange thing about the initial incorporation paperwork is the signature. Obviously the most famous Andrea Mitchell was wife of Alan Greenspan, former Chairman of the Federal Reserve, which is simply my observation, but it does raise interesting questions and possibilities.)
About 4 years later, the next SCC filing indicates a change of hands to Nathan Wolfe and Jeremy Alberga in 2012. (Wolfe, a Harvard grad and WEF YGL had been a professor of epidemiology at UCLA until 2008. He was nicknamed "The Virus Hunter" and his wife produced a documentary, "The Catastrophist" all about him in 2021.)
The filings indicate the name was changed to Metabiota on 7/6/2012.
The filings are primarily stock notices, and names some may recognize, as the company was building its reserves. In March 2014, Robert Mann took over the President position and in March 2015 was listed as Pres, CEO, and Sec’y until 2/17. Bill Rossi took over from 11/17 until 2020. Nita Kishin Madhav, a former CDC researcher in the Special Pathogens Branch of the CDC, joined Metabiota in 2017.
In SCC filings of 7/22/20, Madhav was recorded as President, CEO, CFO, Secretary, and Director of the multimillion dollar private for-profit corporation. (This was the first SCC filing since 11/9/2018 when Bill Rossi held all the offices.) There were six listed on the BOD in the 2020 filing with Nathan Wolfe as Chairman. All of the Directors, aside from Wolfe, were affiliated with capital investment firms, including Rob Walker of Rosemont Seneca Partners.
In 2021, "Baktus," (with Directors Nathan Wolfe and Michael Kertesz, Menlo Park, California residents), was incorporated as a Foreign LLC in Delaware on 6/14/21. It’s sole business was to merge into Metabiota, which took place on 9/30/21. They listed $7.5 million representing 64 investors on the SEC form.
