You state, "Not all oncologists are well-informed about the latest research on complementary and alternative cancer treatments." I think you're trying to be kind. But the truth is that the massive majority are NOT well-informed about such, and many who actually know something / have heard about the alternatives are so brainwashed by the current medical system (and often make so much money from providing --buying and selling at the massively marked up prices allowed by Medicare, Medicaid, insurance companies-- chemo in their offices), that they reject them out of hand, regardless of what actual studies and experience might show. The whole Cancer Industry needs to be torn down and rebuilt with the benefit of patients in mind.
Most make no attempt at academic research/knowledge aquisition in their own professions. They just parrot what they were taught while being blackmailed by insurance and big pharma. Unsuspecting patients are blindly lead to an early death.
Yes, they buy them at reduced (high-volume) prices and sell at often massively marked up (individual) prices allowed and paid for by MCare, MCaid, and insurers.
Add to that related high fees they are allowed to charge for doing their own infusions in their own infusion rooms ... but I'm SURE that that wouldn't influence their decisions, right?

Of course not! Don't forget the trips and awards at the various "conferences" they get to go to for free! Nothing to see here, move along!
In the UK they have the Cancer Act to outlaw alternative treatments. Seriously, you can look it up.
