Re: the prophylactic regimen you suggest, specifically the dietary advice. Great information, but as a nutritionist I'd like to add that seed oils--whether organic or not--are more recently considered metabolic poison, and should be avoided at all costs. By us all, not just cancer patients. Recommended fats include organic extra virgin olive oil (certified as real, not mixed with other oils); organic, unprocessed coconut oil; grass-fed butter, ghee, and tallow; and lard from sustainably raised pigs. I know that some folks think that seed oils are OK as long as one takes in more omega-3 fats (fish or flax oils or supplements), but all the long-chain fats (the polyunsaturates) add easily oxidizable fatty acids to the body, so adding more "good" fatty acids on top of the "bad," only contributes to more work the body must perform, on top of all its 'regularly scheduled programming.'

Seed oils are incredibly dangerous, and hyper inflammatory.

A modified short-term keto diet with healthy high fats works wonders...

I would think Avocado oil would be better than olive oil. All I use is the same lard my mother used and real butter. The good stuff.

If you're in the US, seed oils-- and high fructose corn syrup-- are in almost every off the shelf product you can buy. So be wary.

Also.... it can be a very, very hard to eat this way, especially if you have budget and/or time issues. Not everyone can cook EVERYTHING from scratch every day. I think a reasonable solution is to, over time, work on decreasing carbs, seed oils and high fructose corn syrup.

I've lived on mainly ground beef for years. No carbs, just fatty beef and sometimes chicken and lamb. It costs a lot less than the 'normal diet' and you can produce a meal in minutes.

Try food prepping one day a week. It is so easy today to grab quick stuff but if you plan ahead it’s really not that hard. I fall back on quick stuff to then I remind myself that I’d rather eat little to nothing than to keep putting the food poisons into my body.

Jodi thank you so much for reminding so many about toxic seed oils! Tucker Goodrich and Chris Knobbe have endless information on the topic (along with their books)

Seems these oils have made their way into most products on the grocery shelf

Shop the perimeters
