Alfred Blaylock (Cardiothoracic Surgeon) and Helen Taussig (Pediatrician) were colleagues of my mother Louise Snyder (Pediatrician) at Johns Hopkins Medical School and influenced my early surgical career, but I do not know if they are directly related. What I do know is that there is a lot more to this story that is likely catastrophic far beyond just human lives.
