Substack Is Yet Again Censoring & Preventing Paid Subscriptions
The Daily News from the Art of Liberty Foundation’s Substack attempted to cross-post one of my more popular articles that also happens to be pinned on the 2nd Smartest Guy homepage…
In the below clip you may see exactly how the Substack algorithm prevented the cross-posting of my article despite several “Send via email to all subscribers” attempts being made:
This is not the first time Substack has been shadow banning this Substack, and preventing its free subscribers from upgrading to paid subscribers:
I will be looking into this further, and following up with the Substack team.
In the meantime, if you are able to become a paid subscriber and Substack’s system actually allows you to do so, then that would be greatly appreciated.
If Substack blocks you from becoming a paid subscriber, then please write a comment confirming this.

I got a notice today that my sub to Taibbi (running since early 21) was "suspicious" and when I tried to "allow" the payment, Substack stated that it failed anyway because "Your card does not support this type of purchase."
Will be reaming my bank a new one ASAP.
I just upgraded from a free to a paid subscription with no glitches or weirdness. Thanks for all you do. Always look forward to your analysis and perspectives.
