This is not the first time Substack has been shadow banning this Substack, and preventing its free subscribers from upgrading to paid subscribers:

Perhaps the content of this substack is too politically incorrect such that over the last several days subscribers have been unable to pay for this substack’s content. Is Substack going the way of PayPal now? I will be following up with both Substack and Stripe this coming week.
I will be looking into this further, and following up with the Substack team.
In the meantime, if you are able to become a paid subscriber and Substack’s system actually allows you to do so, then that would be greatly appreciated.

I got a notice today that my sub to Taibbi (running since early 21) was "suspicious" and when I tried to "allow" the payment, Substack stated that it failed anyway because "Your card does not support this type of purchase."
Will be reaming my bank a new one ASAP.
I just upgraded from a free to a paid subscription with no glitches or weirdness. Thanks for all you do. Always look forward to your analysis and perspectives.
