This is why I quit trying to convince certain people as I am done wasting my time. Yuri Bezmenov explained this very well over 3 decades ago.

Discusions with these demoralized-normalized people are not just impossible, but counter-productive!

Great point! They are counterproductive. It's like a team sport, as politics have proven to be, with people having chosen their sides for whatever the consequences. My biggest contention is with people calling themselves Christians or believers in Christ, whose faith is in the government rather than God.

In fact, I was at a graduation ceremony this past weekend for my daughter, and the priest there gave a (unplanned) talk about courage and standing up against unrighteousness for truth. The talk was long and convoluted to begin with, but when he mentioned "courage to do the right thing based upon the truth," realizing that he locked down his church, made me not listen to another word that came out of his mouth. Nor would I ever. The whole thing is mindboggling.

Yeah, he sure did. He said you can show them the reality/truth and they still won't believe. My favorite is all of the so-called Christians and believers in Christ that think that they know about spiritual warfare. Many are my friends and one is my brother whose god is wealth/mammon tho. I'm trying to reconcile that with 2 Thes. 2:11 constantly. I mean honestly, how much more obvious can it be. They're not even trying to hide it anymore, it's wide out in the open.
