thank you so much for informing us!!!!!!!’. i just telephoned Medicare.Gov customer service call center, and verified that they are not going to cover telehealth services effective 04/01/25, unless there may be an exception which would have to be determined in a case by case basis, after your provider has provided services and submitted the claim for payment to Medicare, then if it is denied, an appeal would need to be filed with medicare regarding the denied claim… which is the information that the representative that I spoke to a few minutes ago at the medicare.gov official website call center told me which of course you would need to verify yourself because the representatives at any call center for any insurance companies do not guarantee that the information they give is accurate or applicable or updated or that they are properly trained in my own experience over the years dealing with the medical insurance call center representatives and supervisors and any other representatives of any other government agency or insurance company, in my own personal experience… FYI. this is just general information that I obtained today by speaking personally with a representative so do not base anything you do on this information. This is just a heads up that you need to research this if it may be applicable to you and you may be someone who may be concerned about your coverage benefits with Medicare, or any other medical or health insurance company. Have a good day; buyer beware; research….or else you may be sorry, lol!!…. 🤔
Alert: my above post comment may be outdated…as my practitioner told me that US Congress extended the coverage for telehealth for some services until September 31, 2025…. I called the medicare.gov customer service center and they told me that I should have my practitioner call the Medicare practitioner Customer Service to verify whether a telehealth service is covered for whatever service that practitioner provides because that is where they would get the official information rather than seeing the information posted on some other unofficial website so I would advise anyone that needs to know whether telehealth is covered by Medicare currently to research the issue….fyi. Also The medicare.gov Customer Service informed me that some patients will still be able to get telehealth covered for certain services if they have certain circumstances that would warrant that they would need telehealth rather than in person so it seems like it may be on a case by case basis after the extension expires…fyi. So do your research if you need to know…fyi.
