I'll admit this is what really frustrates me. A lot of things start to look like deliberately sabotaging the public in advance, when reflecting in hindsight. I think nobody was *supposed* to have time to deal with it at all. It's clear, that squeezing people with inflation and suppressed wages was a deliberate effort to corrall them into dependency.
