I doubt that it’s timing is coincidental that it follows very closely upon the recent high level Russia / China strategic meetings which included moving ahead on eliminating dependencies upon Western Banking systems for trade settlements going beyond Russia and China, but including some Asian, African, and Latin American nations. Maybe coincidental; I doubt, but don’t know. There’s a strong defensive smell, almost frantic in how far it goes.
