Well, there is a solution of sorts. If you are going to have a procedure, bank your own blood. Or... get someone who has the same blood type/ a universal donor to donate for you. I do believe most hospitals will do that.

Possibly, but I am hearing that many facilities stopped offering Autologous Transfusion. I wrote about this looming nightmare last year ...
