Yes, 'anecdotes are not data', but...all of the vexxed in my life have been the sickliest lot since the cure was rolled out. The illnesses come around like moon cycles. Cold, flu, cough, fever, aches, and general sickness every handful of weeks. And not just "24/h colds". Which have also mysteriously disappeared from the lexicon. My 15 y/o nephew was out of school recently for FIVE DAYS with some undefined malady that was not covid or flu. Thank the gods he was vexxed.

Anyone running a business has also certainly noticed the deterioration in the workforce. Sick days used to be hangover slush funds or for kids doctor appointments. Now the six days are burned through in one episode and the tears flow when the inevitable unpaid absences stack up right in time for Christmas debt.

What's left of our social calendar, after the great pureblood purge, is in perpetual 50/50 mode whether or not the events happen as the sickness is always lurking. I miss the old normal of mere social hedging that had replaced the RSVP. Luckily we are mostly among other Purebloods.

Even so, the covidians show little sign of cottoning to the truth. I fully expect when the fiddler shows up next crisis - likely their own VAIDS, they will once again be calling for us to be lined up at the cattle cars.
