I ran into the same problem. I did not stop trying. My arguement was "no shots for my dog because he is an indoor dog only. Never leaves except in back yard to do his business."
I finally found 2 who would take him. It is very disturbing that they are not using their own minds when it comes to common sense.
Good on you! Your dog will thank you with longer life. He doesn't have to look like a show dog, & maybe not trying to do the whole process at once can help too.

I can't get my standard poodle groomed unless he has a whole list of vaccines.... So I'm trying to learn how to groom him myself and it's not easy!!!
I wonder if a mobile groomer has the same requirements? I recently used a mobile vet and they had less strict standards.
