As it happens I follow American politics even more than Canadian as I see that we are done for up here already. My daughter in laws parents left a communist country and raised her here and are horrified watching what is going on here now. And it all seemed to happen so quickly....but I guess that's what a slippery slope is. My whole family have thought of moving away from here but presently, the truth is there is nowhere to escape to that is not on a slippery slope, I think. Meantime we pray that the USA will be the one country in the Western world that will prevail through all of this chaos, disorder and ruination.

Yes, they did not escape the so-called pandemic unscathed by any means; but the predators' grip on Japan is in many ways not as strong as in some other places. As an island nation, the Japanese have a strong independent streak. Thanks for the link.
